Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

The overreaction is, if any dem were President nothing would be shut down because the media would be spending 2 minutes a day on this instead of 24 hours a day
To you not realize how idiotic this statement is?
Try going to ANY right leaning media outlet and how much coverage they’re giving to this story. You know why? Because it’s by far the most important thing that’s ever happened in our lifetimes.
If anything, the amount of coverage this is getting should help Trump. It’s created a situation where every ounce of attention is focused on him. This close to an election, and no one gives a hoot about what his opponents have to say. Way less political ads running for fear of turning off potential voters. They can’t crack the news cycle. Primary coverage is nonexistent.
It’s the Trump show now. This whole thing could conceivably seal his re-election bid.
It’s his to loose. Right now his numbers are up, but if he keeps doing dumb stuff, that could turn around really quick.
For example, if he keeps pushing for packed churches on Easter, and that leads a series of outbreaks, that will be quite hard to explain away.
Right now, the majority of outbreaks are occurring in blue states. Something like this could bring it right to the doorsteps of his supporters.

New York City native flew into Jax today. Got caught in screening at the airport. Was previously diagnosed as COVID-19 positive, but said his symptoms had eased to the point where he "thought it was safe to travel".

No telling how many people he infected from the time he left home until they got him into isolation in Jax.

SMDH.

Why the hell is leaving if he's now effectively immune?

It would be nice if people like you would pull for him instead of against him.
During a time of crisis when there has been an unusual and abrupt shift to the daily routine of the average American, I believe that most Americans do want to support the leadership of our government and most of all, support our president. History has shown this to be true. President George W. Bush's approval ratings skyrocketed after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. There was nothing particularly memorable about the way George W. Bush conducted himself, either. Bush simply didn't blame his predecessor for the attacks (although, others did) and he didn't publicly fight with Democrats. Bush also didn't whine about not being treated fairly by the liberal media. He just went about his business and his approval ratings went up about 12 points because of it. Maybe the problem isn't always with the media? Just a thought.

It would be nice if people like you pulled for him, instead of against him. All the world leaders have been dealt a terrible hand.

He's never going to live down the going to the gym thing. Never.
There have been , and will continue to be mistakes made in this because no choice is a good one, and we have not had to deal with anything quite like this. The media stokes fear, so what's a mother to do.

So, a week ago, Dr Birx said they were going to preferentially send more tests to known hot spots. Now a week later, for some reason, NY and the NJ and CT suburbs have more cases than everywhere. And now we need to restrict travel from this over tested population.

NY alone has performed 21% of US tests
