If its not this one it will be something sooner rather than later. Nature has always had a population ceiling and we are approaching it with the growth curve. Something originating in China is not surprising given the dense populations. It might not be this one, but the US will suffer one day just like everyone else

I agree with this , and will add that the more we depend on our government to support us ( general population) the worse it will be when it does happen . It fascinates me that we have people here in this country that don’t have a clue how to grow food , never harvested anything and never been out of a city environment . Just seems like we have set ourselves up for failure .. eventually.
