I didn't catch it but I think I would like Jimmy Fallon better than Conan. I personally think Conan on the Tonight show is going to be a dud.

Jimmy needs to break in the show. it wasn't that great, but i might have to give him some time.

Fallon seems like he's not going to be as funny as Conan.

I too, think that Conan isn't exactly going to be a good fit at the 11:35 timespot.

Now, if only they got rid of that god-awful Carson Daly........

Carson Daly is just filler. No big deal.

Haven't had a chance to check out Conan in his new time slot. What I'm wondering is if he will have to cut out all the ridiculous over the top material that made his show a hit in the first place.

As for Fallon - just give him time.

Fallon is horrible, i mean there's something to be said about start up jitters but his monologue is horrible and he just seems to be out of his league. I give him 2 years...

I watched Conan pretty regularly but typically just through the opening monologue and skit. If a guest I was interested was on, I'd stick through the interviews.

Watched Fallon last night and he looked very unsure of himself. The skit (Facebook thing) was too long and not funny. It will have to get much better.

I've never been a Fallon fan.

I accidentally caught about 7 minutes of his work with Queen Latifah in "Taxi" a few years ago, and haven't invested more than 30 seconds of my time in Fallon since then.

i caught some of this last night just to get a feel of what the show was like. the monologue was a trainwreck.

I just caught Fallon for the first time....it's atrocious.

Not once did he look at the camera in the monologue. It was way too obvious he was reading the Q-card, not like Conan where he would make fun of the Q-card but at least you couldn't watch his eyes follow the lines like with Fallon. He looks really uncomfortable too. I kinda felt like I was watching a Jimmy Fallon only episode of SNL.

Somehow, I get the feeling that Ferguson is going to be ahead/crush Fallon in the ratings. IMO, a stand up act would have done better for late night. A Demetri Martin type. Actually, I'd want David Allen Grier to do the late night show. He's pretty funny as well.

Off topic but I got tickets while i was in NYC this week to see Letterman. The guest was Tom Brokaw but I was disappointed to find out that the next night Andy Samberg so I wish I had gotten them that night but it was still a ton of fun to see the filming and how they do everything. I'm also in the picture when they pan the crowd to show next weeks episode.

The question is, can he exceed the Chevy Chase level of suck. I think Chase lasted 5 days? i might be wrong, good job Fallon ,looks like you are in the clear.
