I think they would have been better, but not as much as people would think. Crump and McFagdon were so incredibly lazy, I don't think Pearl would have reached them. Like him or not, John Calipari gets his teams to play hard and Scooter wouldn't defend when he played for him.

Its all about buying into Pearl's system. Last years team would have bought into it. Pearl is a motivator. Heck man, I would fight Hell with a water gun for the guy and I don't even know him.

McFagdon and Crump wouldn't be exciting to watch if they were coached by a staff consisting of Bob Knight, Rick Pitino, Phil Jackson, and Pat Riley. They were both flighty and passive.
