Never realized Colorado was 4th in the country only 10 years ago

UT could not have played a more pitiful game defensively. I blame it solely on Chavis, who mustve let LSU run 14 Qb draws for poitive yardage that night.

Also puked that night. And I was at the georgia "hob nail boot" game. I puked coming out of there too. And got into a fight with a UGA fan on the way out. Luckily my brother pulled me off him before I killed him.

01 was a sad season

This was the 1st glimpse of the beginning of the end...

Which SHOULD have ended in '05 instead of staying through '08...

edit: Oh...and I puked too...I was THERE

I remember when the team got home from defeating Florida in the swamp at the end of the year and the fans were handing them roses. That signifying that all we had to do was beat LSU in the SECCG to go to the Rose Bowl and play for the National Championship. I had a bad feeling about that.

Sigh. :cray:

How Battle dropped that pick I'll never know?

We had to play our worst game and they had to play a near perfect game for that to happen. Unfortunately it happened.

Not only did the our D play awful, but the turnovers by our offense were probably the reason we lost. Stephens and Stallworth could not have picked a worse time to fumble. Still no reason to give up 31 to that LSU team.

Didn't LSU lose to UAB that year, too?

The funny thing is I never remember this game. I was six years old when that happened. If you think about it as long as I can remember Tennessee has never been a powerhouse.

if not for a career day by Washington we would have lost to LSU earlier in the season at home
