Was she a Civil War widow, or a daughter of a veteran? She apparently didn’t have kids, and she seems to have used her maiden name. No mention of a deceased husband.

I was trying to do the math, and even if she married at 16 and her hubby was 18 in 1865, he would have been 80 when they married.

Not saying that guys never say never.
