Fulmer and Dooley both paid the price for poor coordinator picks. As bad as Dooley was as HC, we had a mighty offense his last season. Had we had the same defensive numbers in 2012 that we had in 2011, we would have had a huge season and Dooley might have stumbled on for 2 or 3 more years. We scored 36.2 points a game that year, but gave up 35.7. In 2011 we gave up 22.6 per game. We would have stomped out nearly everyone on our schedule. Of course we all know what happened with the Clawfense; costing a legend his job much too soon.

Agreed Fl was giving us the middle last season and this season and we rarely went there when it should have been a record day for wolf.

You're right. You would think that would stick out in film study. I don't get the point in spreading the field with athletes if you're not going to use the middle of the field.

Every new post starts out with a different title, but comes right back around to what a sorry person Butch is. Either he will pick the right people and things will work. With all due respect, I don't think that was a tough decision. I am not talking about because of what The Old DC produced but because of the many tiffs between the coaches.... They were a few.... And it was also a mutual decision by both parties...

I didn't watch tape on that game because it was very hard for me to focus because I was enjoying FL getting beat too much but I was there and I'm thinking the game plan was to gash the middle with Hurd but I'm pretty sure they weren't producing what they thought was necessary to open "windows" for the crossers but like I said I haven't watched film on it so that is complete speculation. I usually don't comment on here unless I know what I am talking about or am asking questions because I don't know.... Take it or leave it.

ACTUALLY...I would say you could find any fanbase without the HC names of Saban, Meyer, Swinney (present day), Harbaugh, Franklin, Fisher, Petersen, Gundy, McIntyre, and Helton.....saying their HC is clueless too....it isn't just Tennessee guy...just feels like it.

Butch has brought us out of the cellar of the sec and works harder than any coach we've had in the last 20 years. Im happy with butch becuse we are actually competing and wining. It takes time to rebuild a program in the SEC. If he ever leaves, it's becuse of "fans" like you. No wonder kiffin bolted out of here in the middle of the night. Any year a coach isn't underfeated you idiots call for jobs. Even if he went undefeated you'd still be unhappy "how" we won.

I actually like this scenario. I think this would be a much better staff than we had last year on offense.

No if he ever leaves its because of his own doings. What people say on a message board wont be the reason he leaves. It will be his fault.
