This thread is for people to be able to look back and say they were right... or maby not.

I have heard people says both. i think at first they will split carrys, but by week 3 i say Neal starts to pull away and get more carries.

Unfortunately for Neal, I think it's Lane. Wish I was wrong because Neal has a lot of potential. Not that Lane doesn't.

If Lane plays consistently I think it's him. But Neal will def contribute in the passing game out of the backfield and as a slot reciever

I took Lane but its great to actually have two options with explosiveness. Call me crazy but I think Young will be a factor too even if it's mostly on screens....

Lane, Neal reminds me of Foster, I think he will make an outstanding pro but he won't get his ball security issues under control until he is a pro. Therefore if Neal garners to much playing time he will cost us key games by losing fumbles in key games just as Foster did.

Also using NFL example I prefer a steady 4 to 5 yards per carry over losing 3 on one carry gaining 20 on the next and losing 10 more trying to reverse the field yet again on the 3rd carry. The old I'd always start an Emmit Smith over Barry Sanders if they were on the same team. Give me the dependable 4 to 5 with the occasional long run, over less overall dependability and the slightly higher big play average.

That is why I'd start Lane over Neal, he is just a better and more dependable back in all areas of the game.

I voted Lane. I think both will see their share of carries so that they can keep the air show open. If Borque gets on the field he can be a real threat. From what I understand that kid can play tailback or receiver. The D coordinator wont know what to do with our 3 WR's and Boruque in the backfield.

I think Neal will get allot of carries but Lane will carry the load, Neals speed off the edge will help to get him on the field, although ball security is a must and since we have seen he does have issues. Hopefully CJG has helped him understand the art of not dropping the ball.

I really think both will be used but Neal does give our offense a bit more versatility with his experience at WR....and is a huge mismatch for LBers with his speed.

Foster recorded 650 attempts and only 5 lost fumbles, his fumbles just happen to come at the wrong time in games.
