I'm sorry to say I don't know much about the guy..

besides Big Al hates him..

Would Vol Nation be okay with Kiffin?

never heard his name until now

i dont know what to think of him. He's done little to nothing up at oakland (unless al likes him he'll get fired). I know he's got that tie into carrol at So cal too, but does that necessarily make him into a good coach?

Al davis hates himself. As far as Kiffen to coach UT....HELL YEAH! Bring it on.:rock:

I think Kiffin has at least improved the Raiders. They were complete crap when he got there.

Kiffin would be a great coach for us! No one will be worth anything under Al Davis! That man is about as smart as Bud Adams!

I hate to tell you but Saban sucked in Miami. Looks like he's doing pretty good now. #2 in the country after just 1 year. Just because you can't do well in the NFL doesn't mean you won't be successful in college. I think Kiffen is ready to be a HC just not in the NFL.

Kiffin would be great here his recruiting abilities and plus i'm sure he would go get coach O from new orleans saints to be the head recruiter and D-line coach!! He would get UT back on track in no time

Butch Davis sucked in Cleveland
Pete Carrol sucked in New England
Bobby Petrino sucked in Atlanta
Steve Spurrier sucked in Washington D.C.
etc.

A lot of college coaches suck in the NFL. Idk a ton about Kiffin, but I've always like his dad and thought he was one of the best DC in the league.

Edit: Maybe I was too harsh on Carrol. He did not suck, but I wouldn't of called him good when he was with the pats.

Yes...I have..What point are You attempting to make?..They are terrible offensively, Even worse defensively...You are so in this guys jock it starting to make me wonder?..What exactly is the attraction?...He's a loser as a head coach so far....I just don't get it.

Judging any coach by their performance in Oakland alone is a faulted evaluation. You are guaranteed you will not be calling all the shots and having an owner who undermines a coaches dealings with his players only serves to undermine that coaches standing with the players.

I feel sorry for any coach that takes that job with Davis pulling the strings. Maybe the only real fault I can find with him might be taking that job in the first place.

Losing 41-14 to Denver is not being competitive...The other two games they have lost were not that bad..The bottomline is, one point or a million its still a loss...I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty

I agree that Davis is nuts but I am still not sold on Kiffin's head coaching ability yet...I just hate taking a risk of hiring someone who isn't ready...Thats all

you need your eyes checked of you dont see the improvement on the field. yes the wins are not there yet, but the raiders play has shown marked improvement. you say you have watched them, but considering your comment I doubt it.
