To everyone who's become LT's personal boosters in the past weeks, just remind yourself that these are his players.

Wilcox could certainly call the plays, but it was LT who brought them in, and the fact remains that the majority of these guys are glorified C-USA players.

This is not a defense of Sunseri, who's just as clueless, but just a reminder that Dooley's incompetence on defense extends past Sal.

I was just wondering a few minutes ago what our defense would have done if Lance had been our dc this year.

I blame Sal and Dooley for this debacle. This is the best defensive lineup we have had in 3 years
I agree. People talk trash about the talent level on the D-Backfield. They were 4*star recruits. Same with the entire D-Line.

One problem I am seeing is that McCullers is having no impact whatsoever. They are not having him try to penetrate...only take up space. We can play anyone DL the roster to do that.

Should have promoted Lance Thompson. I am sure he could not be worse than this.....

Yes, they were HS stars, but they've not moved at all since stepping on campus during the Kiffin and Dooley years. Our defensive woes extend far beyond Sal. He needs to go, but it's not a quick fix that some think it is.

When it became apparent that Randy Shannon was not coming, this is what I was advocating. The guy had/has better credentials than Sunseri (Lance did a decent job as DC for UCF when Saban called him to come to Bama). He was mentored by Monte Kiffin. Just the continuity would have made the difference, IMHO.
