Does anyone have an update on Lance Thompsons status? is he staying or going? is he still recrutiing for us in gerogia?

Lance is staying put. However, Chavis is jumping ship (leaving LSU) and will be the new DC at Georgia. You heard it here first...

I have not had power for awile because of the snow storm. is he getting preped for def cord post monte? i hope coach O is but im sure he is looking to take over as HD somewhere. anyone have any info>?

Chill with the crystal ball predictions Nostradami. Thompson is staying for a few years until he gets the DC job.

No worries. Every time we get into 3rd down and anything more than 5 to go for a first down, we just run a screen pass and watch our guy run forever. It'll be okay being on the other side of 3rd and Chavis.

Guys, I dont want to sound like a fortune teller or anything but try this one on.

1) Chavis leaves for Georgia DC
2) LSU hires Thompson as DC
3) We hire Garner as DL Coach
4) Coach O moves to LB Coach

Anybody for some dominoes?:dance2:

Are Georgia fans calling for this too?? Just seems like Chavis would not be who they were really shooting for??

Not at all. #1 is correct. 2,3, and 4 just don't seem right. Especially 4.

If Chavis does go to UGA we must take a safety on the first series. A two point lead will ensure Chavis has a chance to go to the vaunted "Mustang" package. I am sure we all remember how the mustang brought victory. This time it will be the Vols that can capitalize on the prevent def. :)

Chavis is a great Defensive Coordinator and will improve Georgia. Yes, 3rd downs got frustrating at times, but you've got your head in the sand if you don't think he is a great Defensive Coordinator.

I think he's great at developing talent. I don't think he's a great DC, and would argue that isn't until I'm blue in the face. He simply cannot make in game adjustments.
