I hope Morely doesn't play this wk

I think that is a crazy wish. D-Mo is hopefully going to be a big producer for us. I had hoped he would come out and get a starting job or at least heavy in the rotation by the beginning of the season. It is his chance to step up and become the man, just like Inky had to do last year. I have faith in him.

Guys no 1 hates when we turn the ball over more than me. But this not playing a back because he fumbles is wrong. It sounds like another extension of playing not to lose instead of playing to win. I for one think thats the #1 difference between the Vols and your Ohio States/Texas/USC's

If you play a back that fumbles when you have two quality backs in front of him that don't fumble (Although I'm not sure you can say that about Foster) you are playing to lose. There is absolutely nothing wrong with not playing a fumbler. One turnover could easily decide a close game. If we had turned the ball over one more time against Air Force would we still have won? Probably not. If we turn the ball over more than Florida, will we win? Maybe, but it certainly hurts our chances. If Coker has a turnover problem, I have no qualms about him riding the bench.

I see your point but the thing that changes a kid with fumbleitus is reps. Confidence after a few series with some success is the only thing that cures that. If hes not good enough to put in a game hes not good enough to warrent a scholarship. Play him or send him packing.

we cannot afford to put the ball on the ground against UF, but you need someone to rest Hardesty, so who plays?

I wonder if Roper is living up to his end of the bargain coaching the RB's?

We are going to need more than one running back against Fla. I don't see not playing your running backs even if they fumble the ball once in a while. Remember the QB rotation, if you mess up out you come.. It puts a strain on the player and his ability to get a feel for the game. Also, if he is fumbling the ball then, someone needs to get on the coaches butt and get him coaching too stop the fumbling. Lets put the blame where it belongs.
