Great article... Oh what might have been! Geez, I get a little sad when I read about this kid. He is/was such a talent, and not a bad kid at all, just wish he had been a little more mentally tough.

What is it with people and weed? Why would you potentially pass up millions of dollars just to get high? Anyway, I hope the best for him. He is an amazing player.

Don't know if it's the weed as much as it is the age. Kids make dumb decisions all the time.

Glad he was able to turn it around and have a shot at the next level. Good luck to him.

I'd like to see the Titans pick him up with a 4th or later rd pick...as a backup to CJ and as a punt/KO returner. If CJ get's hurt, he could still give the Titans similar speed an Homerun capability.

I'm really glad to see him turn it around. Does make you wonder what might have been? I just hope he stays on the right path because if he thought there was a lot of parties and drugs at UT he hasn't seen parties like I'm sure that NFL players get invited to.

This story makes me wonder what would have been with Coker and countless others if Fulmer had been willing to put underclassmen in bigger roles.

It's too bad, this guy was amazing at a young age while he was here. Imagine him on this years team, wow.

he was the solution to arian fosters fumbles. its a shame. him and montario in the back field right now would just be silly

I'd like to see the guy succeed but there seems to be an awful lot of love being shoveled at a guy who managed 93.4ypg this year against less than SEC caliber defenses. His biggest rushing game for his Sr season was 135yds and, for a guy being compared to Chris Johnson by some, managed only a single run over 40yds all season. For his career he's under 5ypc.

It's good to see a kid appear to get his head on straight. Who knows, he may even get a shot at the big time, but that doesn't mean we have to look back on the guy like we lost Barry Sanders.

Yeah, that's what we need. Kids that can't do something as simple as not smoke pot in "bigger roles."

If you can't follow the simple rules, how can you be expected to lead a team?

Who cares what Coker does? What did he ever do for UT...except put them in a bad situation. He should have been smart enough to know better.

"Phillip Fulmer's desk was black and shaped like a giant T. It sat on a platform, about a foot above the office floor, and was as imposing as the man peering down from it."

What a pompous ---.

5'11", 195 lbs and a 4.28 forty... Sounds pretty good, hope it works out for him. He is a good back.

I'm sure he designed and built the desk. Wouldn't be surprised if Kiffin uses the same desk.

I liked the fact that he asked for an older player to be paired with a younger one, wish it would be looked at here.
