Does anyone think he has a chance to start. From what I have read he has a strong arm and great vision. He can even check down to his 3rd and 4th WR pretty quick. He did get alot of good feedback out west. What do yall think? Could he start or not.

no, not this year, maybe next year, We are fine with Crompton and Stephens this year but hurting at receiver big time-better hope freshmen step up!

THe reason I ask is that Kiffin himself has stated that when things start to get bad both start to panic a little. Both have shown that they do not work well under the pressure, but Kiffin did say he would have one QB and not rotate them this year. Maybe that will help. It helped Ainge from 05 to 06 so maybe the same for Crompton.

What if one is injured and one is god-awful?
j/s Same was true for BJ.

Unfortunately, it's not like we have Corp and Barkley. Lamiason should easily beat out Rozier and whoever walked on from Knoxville, imo.

At some point, if this season becomes a 'write-off,' I don't know how much time they'll invest in JC. He needs to perform, but that doesn't mean much except throwing a few passes in the flats, a couple down the field, and then handing the ball off... A LOT.

When did he ever say that?

When did he ever say that?

On utsports.com in a live interview he said that the QB's talking about Crompton mostly had been beat up so much last year that when things start to go bad heads start to hang low and guys those guys start to worry. He also said he has been working with them alot to let them know last year is last last year. The future is all that matters CLK keeps telling them.

From what little info I've picked up on this guy. The rap is; he makes good decisions, rarely makes a mistake and always goes to the right receiver... He's the kind of guy that can manage an offense and doesn't get his team beat with mistakes. I'll take that in a heart beat.. If he can pick up the offense quickly who knows.

Unless we find diamond in the rough QB in this class, I think Lamaison will be the starter in 2010.

really?

In 2005, Erik Ainge threw 5 TD’s and 7 interceptions (including the LSU end zone embarrassment). He rebounded pretty well the next year.

You also have to remember that we have a new coaching staff. It is not like he is being coached by Steve Spurrier.

just watched his videos on rivals and he consistently threw behind his receivers. lot of guys waiting on the football to arrive.

I don't think he will or should put up with half of what went on last year. We ould have been bowl bound if we would have punted on first down every time on O. If Cromp and Stephens don't protect the ball this boy will see PT.

If Lamaison does what he did at Mt. SAC ... he'll be ok.. all he needs is decent protection from the O-line ... and he'll handle the rest.
