Stanford has played an LSU preseason type of schedule. And if you look closely at their competition's record to date, they are quite weak thus far. They beat a horrendous Wash State team (1-7) 54-46. Yeah, the same Wash State team that just lost 112-35 to LSU. Also, they lost to FGCU (2-4) 66-62. FGCU's only other win? Ave Maria. Davidson beat FGCU by 26 and Troy just beat them, that's a bad loss anyway you cut it.

Stanford hasn't played anyone yet, hence the 8-1 record. But look at their schedule results so far, that record is a mirage. Their last game? They beat Colo State 62-60. UT should cruise in this game. It would be a cause for concern if not.

Let's be honest though - NC State should have never been in the top 10. We shouldn't have been top 10 either. UCLA is a legit top 5 team that will likely go to the Final Four again...maybe even the championship. Much more talent than NC State. But I get where you're coming from with "national championship aspirations". We should be better than this
