Lady Vols Unranked In Both Polls

My thing is if it’s so hard to run this system with the commitment and effort needed for it to be effective, then why do it? Play normal ball like these kids have played their entire lives.

Everybody keeps referencing this notion of a “system” as if exploiting another team’s depth and weaknesses on the perimeter are ground breaking ideas. It’s a terrible idea in the NIL era and she was a terrible choice

But being honest - I feel CKC has a chip on her shoulder and will try to prove her system can work in this division verses making the necessary adjustments to give her players the best chance to use their talent to win games. And in the end - it more than likely will cost her the job.

The sad thing is I do think she could become a really good coach - but she has to adapt - not force something that will not work.

I'm curious. I like Kim's system when it is working. But if you feel that what she has known and worked to develop since her playing days won't work, what makes you believe she could become a good coach? And, again, I like her and want her to succeed. But I'm not sure why I should expect that to happen if her system is truly not suited for teo tier competition.

Ladyvol1908, you’ve got to remember that not only is this system hard to learn it takes until the SEC to get it right. I don’t know how to make blue font…

Anyway— That’s what Kim says. November will always be ugly and I guess now it is December too after what we saw this year leading up to the SEC.

I guess with all the time they spend learning the press we don’t have time to learn any other defense to implement to throw a team off (like everyone throws the zone at us) or any offensive plays that aren’t pass it around the perimeter and see who is going to drive and shoot into a double or triple team or kick it out for the three.

I can handle losing. I do love winning. But win or lose I hate when it just looks like chaos. Nothing wrong with playing fast. It’s exciting! I mean LSU must play pretty fast to score 80-95 a game right? But fast with control and not just helter skelter. Maybe it’s our throw-up prayers that make us look so bad in the paint. Maybe if we made those shots we wouldn’t look so out of control. Mia was uncharacteristically leading the way with those shots tonight. 😩

So it looks like Ole Miss, UK and Tennessee will all finish 8-8 and went 1-1 against each other. But since UK’s best win was against #6 LSU, Ole Miss beat #5 Vandy, and Tennessee beat #23 Georgia as their best wins, it looks like Tennessee will be seeded #8 in the SECT. Hello, South Carolina 👋

Ole Miss really screwed Tennessee by losing to Florida.

It's gonna end up a 3-way tie between UK, UGA, and Tennessee at 8-8 IMO (OM will find a way to beat Texas A&M)..... that would put the LVs as the #7 seed as they were 2-0 against UK/UGA

Where things get interesting is if OM loses to A&M on Sunday and it ends up a 4-way tie.... in that scenario the LVs could end up the #6 seed due to the better head to head record as follows:

UT: 2-1 (lost to OM, beat KY and UGA)
OM: 2-2 (beat UT, lost to KY, split w/UGA)
UGA: 2-2 (Split w/OM, beat KY, lost to UT)
KY: 1-2 (Beat OM, lost to UGA and UT)

Ah right, I missed that Ole Miss is heavily favored to win their last game, so they pretty much have #6 locked down. Looks like Tennessee is #7 at worst. At least they will avoid SC again.

Well that's one way to look at but say looking at other systems. For instance, Kellie Harper is running the Pat Head Summit system at Missouri why are they not getting the system, we know it has worked. I think I know the answer to the question on both accounts but just something to ponder
