Maybe some good news for Tennessee in that Baylor/Arizona goign extras. U of A's pitcher is the only really good one they have, so if they win she'll have to pitch the entire game tonight and come back again tomorrow. Maybe they'll win in 17 innings...

Edit: Wow. They just said that Arizona's pitcher has already thrown 145 pitches tonight alone.

Abbott threw 498 pitches in less than 24 hours last year (maybe two years ago). The softball pitching motion removes the strain off the arm that baseball pitching imparts. So if the muscle tissue is able to heal quickly she'll be right back on the mound for another 100+ pitches.
