It seems like there are less of them everywhere. I don't know if its just that we aren't recruiting that kind of player or if less kids just are being taught to bat like that anymore.

Have one coming in next year I think she is a slapper...gets from home to first in 2.5 secs...to compare Raven went home to first in 2.6 secs

the Lady Vols had a couple of slap hitters that were excellent at getting on base and stealing bases,which is why I asked

I don't think Tarango is gonna be able to hold the second pitcher spot. The biggest concern for this team in who is gonna step up at number two. Gabriel was supposed to win the job hasn't looked very well in last couple starts. Gaffin needs to be given a shot at it she seems the best option right now.

well so far I would have to agree,i would like to see them get some big leads and let Gabriel get some more pitching in

Their hitting seems to be a bit off. Its early and they're playing teams from out west so I guess the pitcher scouting is lacking....but, I thought UT, with all their studs, would walk over these 2 teams. Shipman and Geer seem to be the only ones hitting the ball solid, everyone else looks like they're guessing.
