Lady Vols Soccer bids farewell to seven seniors tonight

After securing a bye in the first round of the SEC tournament (our first match will be on Tuesday the 30th) the Lady Vols take on a downtrodden Missouri team at Regal Soccer stadium @ 7:00 pm, SECNetwork+ has the coverage. Unless we come out totally unprepared, this should be a fairly easy W for the ladies who currently stand in a 3 way tie with Arkansas and S. Carolina for second in the SEC standings. Our second place mates have some work to do as Arkansas travels to Florida and S Carolina hosts TA&M. Should both teams lose we would take sole possession of 2nd place in the SEC. Not too shabby.

Seems like we are FINALLY having some success in our Olympic sports. Volleyball is doing well too. NOW... if we could just get our T&F program back to being a National Power... we'd be set.

I think our T & F program is headed in the right direction but the lack of an indoor facility will limit how high they can climb. Perhaps Phil will turn a bit of his attention to this area next. He seems to be fixing things (like baseball & volleyball) slowly but steadily.
