I continue to be unimpressed---sorry--by this "hardest schedule in the country" claim. We didn't win ANY of our hard games until LSU.
Had we won a couple of them, we wouldn't be celebrating a 23 ranking. Can you imagine celebrating breaking into the top 25 ten/15 years ago? Anybody can put together a tough schedule; the real point is being good enough to win some, or more than some, of the tough ones.

We now have wins over the #3, #23, and #25 teams in the NET. We also won 6 Q1 games (same amount as LSU, Arizona, and Iowa St., and certainly more than ranked teams like MTSU and UNLV, who is 0-1 in Q1 games), which are generally considered to be the hardest games, and we didn't lose any Q2/Q3/Q4 games (something UConn, Maryland, UCLA, Ohio St., Washington St., Iowa St., Texas, Arizona, NC St., MTSU, South Florida, Gonzaga, UNLV and others that are/have recently been in the top 25 polls can't say).

Don’t hit them with facts. They don’t like that.

If the Lady Vols do get a 4 seed in the tourney, what is the likelihood of them getting the last 4 seed (16 overall), meaning a potential sweet 16 matchup with South Carolina? If this were possible, I would almost rather them be a 5 seed away from SCs region.

I know there use to be a rule about tourney placements from the same conference but I don't know recall if this would negate this potential issue. Anyone know?

Didn't quite make it into the coaches' poll. Twenty-sixth, with 47 votes.
coaches won't vote for the LVs because none of them want to come to Knoxville for the first and second rounds --- that's my story and I'm stickin' to it

the polls are worthless --- Gonzaga beat the LVs by one point with a last second shot, so the LVs ought to be rated right with them --- the LVs beat Colorado, so no way they should be ranked higher --- UNC has ten losses and didn't get far in their tournament, so why are they rated higher? ---- UNLV, FGCU, MTSU, puh-lease, I'm not buying it

The Vols might merit a somewhat higher ranking that 23---but rankings aren't based on individual, comparative games, which I assume you know. We don't deserve to ranked close to Zaga because we lost a close game to that team. Rankings are based on body of work over the course of the season--your results against everybody.

It is also based on how the team is playing now and what have ya done lately. This team would beat up on Gonzaga now. During the Bahamas tournament, the Lady Vols had not even begun to find themselves yet.
