Lack of a true leader

The lack of true team captains is hurting this team. I know they have rotated in the oast, but everyone thought Mayo would step up, but it's not working. We need Al Wilson to make a visit

As mentioned before when I got blasted, we need Heffney to step up and lead on defense. Ainge isn't the vocal leader and it doesn't seem like anyone's going to step in and feel the void. We need a Jason Allen, Aaron Sears, etc. Someone that makes his teammates account for their problems and mistakes

I'm as sick of hearing about leadership as I am "working like heck, review the film" and all the other Fulmerisms. Players and assistant coaches become leaders when they respond to their head coach's leadership.
Besides, we don't need figureheads or leaders, we need players who want to sweat blood to wear orange and white and we need coaches who haven't gotten bigger than the game and passed by in the process.

I disagree. Leaders are leaders no matter the situation. If we have some they will come out no matter who is in charge.

Yes, that's true, but sadly, the leaders we have or had aren't able to overcome the malaise, underperformance, talent gap, and coaching deficiencies that have been eroding the program.
I just believe that stronger coaching leadership lends support to the natural player/leaders and the others eventually come around.
