Dunbar is the players I love to watch,I think that Holly doesn't kn how to develop or uses her.Just her far long 3 can win games but each time she makes a move Holly remove her.

I love Kortney Dunbar game, she will be a lot better next year, she is already started working for next year, she is 6' 2" and can play the 4, or 3.

This girl can be such an instrumental piece to the puzzle next year if she develops some quickness. I'm hoping she has a good off season.

And she is a gritty young woman! She is not a little snowflake or delicate princess. I think she will be even better, even more of a force next year!

Dunbar is a good perimeter shooter but her numbers dipped last year to .333 from behind the line (17th in the SEC). Next year I'd like to see her match her .378 freshman 3-pt percentage on as many attempts as DeShields had last year (145); that'd be 165 points right there. And while she rarely takes shots inside the paint, she's made 64% of her career 2-pt attempts.

We also need her to draw more fouls, get to the FT line and make those shots. In 353 minutes of career action, Dunbar has made just 2 free throws on 6 attempts. Last year she attempted a free throw every 74 minutes of action while her teammates shot one every 11 minutes.

She seems to be a hard worker with a good attitude. She needs to get quicker defensively, especially on her lateral moves. When she does, she will be able to impact the game. Looking forward to seeing her on the court next year. Hoping she and all the others get healthy and stay that way!

Successful teams have five shooters on the floor at all times.
Defensively we gave up way to many points off the dribble drive and gave up even more off offensive boards. Plenty to work on.

I love Kourtney but here is the problem. She does not rebound at all against Syracuse she made a three gave up a rebound and they scored a 3. Now that means her three point shot means nothing at this point. and also she needs to become a better ball handler taber spani was decent she could put the ball on the floor and get to the basket or use the post moves she has been taught .. My problem with kourtney is she is scared of being hit and at this level she will not play being scared of contact. Period.

Has Kourtney had some type of injury that has slowed her process since becoming a Lady Vol???

Yes Holly has slowed her progress.

I love Kortney's game. Previous comments about her defense, a bit slow et al are all fair observations. But the woman still needed to get major repetitions to develop her game. Kortney is a threat out on the perimeter but she was not utilized properly. That is my ire against Holly. The same things happening to Kortney happened to Nia.

Kortney will be a junior this upcoming season. Let us hope that she will have the opportunity to play a significant role.

Kortney would have played a lot more under Pat Summit. JMO I thought her defense was as good as Nared, Cooper, or Reynolds. All three of these players gave up a lot of blow by layups and Carter did as well. You can't use her for two or three minutes A player like her has to get in the flow of the game and she would definitely keep the defense honest as they have to put a player on her. She is the same kind of player as Zolman and Spani who were never great defensive players but still could score and got a lot of minutes.

Dunbar's lateral and backward's movement is very poor. The only place she can play for extended minutes against good competition is the stretch 4. With both Graves and Russell in the lineup this season there wasn't much opportunity for her. She has a chance this upcoming season, but it's up to her to show more than she has to date.

I doubt Pat Summitt would have played her any more with this roster to select from. She played Sidney Spencer because she had to (injuries), and Sid made us all glad she did. Kortney could develop into another Spencer for all we know, but she has a lot more competition for playing time. Losing Bashaara & Nia, we will see her a lot more next year playing alongside Mercedes.

VollyParton: I`m no fan of Holly at all and think Kyra Elzy should have been the Coach of this team. Spencer played yes because of some injuries, But here is the difference between the two Spencer is 6-4 shot the ball very well from deep and also banged in the post.

It took her a couple of years before she could play solid defense. She certainly did not start out that way. I can see Kortney becoming just as good.

I would never have played her with Russell and Graves; she needed to play in place of Graves. Our offense will never be good with this staff--not when the head coach still think that we can and should win games 52 to 46. You have a team that can't score well and can't shoot threes; you need to score and you need threes--and yet Warlick did not give Dunbar extended PT in any game this year, I don't believe. It was absurd. Play her 15 minutes and see what she can do; instead, she plays 4 minutes, makes a three--and then gets removed!
