Is Kongbo playing at all? Don't feel like he has turned out to be what we thought so far.

Oops, I put this in the recruiting forum and only put his name. Fix please! :)

He's played sparingly but our depth at DE is substantial...he'll be playing plenty next year I suspect

We knew Kongbo is an athletic freak who is still raw at the game of football. Most people in the recruiting forum thought it would be in the second half of the year... Or perhaps the second season... That he takes off.

Be patient with the dude. He's exactly the physical freak we thought we were getting. Just has some learning to do.

I hear ya...

I just wanted to see if he has been playing and I am just overlooking him. I tend to overlook defensive players sometimes.

He's getting some snaps, yeah. He's disruptive when he's in there. My guess is that he still needs some work on technique and assignments before the coaches unleash him.

Also, Barnett and Vereen are pretty damned good. No shame in playing second string behind those guys.

But yeah, nothing to worry about IMO.

Funny enough... I think he was in for Barnett when Eason made that last bomb to win the gam-I mean, take the lead.

Still isn't doing as well as we thought he would. The fans acted like he would come right in and be a difference maker.

That's what they get for thinking when they're not used to it or equipped for it.....

The patience is thin with volnation. Geez give the kid a chance before you write him off 5 weeks into a season in which we haven't had the luxury of being up so big in a game that the subs got decent snaps.

Patience!

We only get him for 2 years, so we can't be too patient. (Assuming he is good enough to go pro after junior year. :))

Kongbo is playing, and playing pretty well. He just needs some more seasoning. When I see him come in, he is usually around the ball or the qb on most plays, just not the first one. When Barnett almost assuredly goes to the draft, he will be splitting time with hopefully Kyle Phillips.

80% of fans miss on their evaluations and expectations for players coming into the SEC to play football. Most are never what they believe they will be, initially....

He will be fine. As was said in the pre-season he has played very little football and all he has played his far below the SEC level. He is learning

Yeah he'll be fine, but he's also playing pretty well right now.

He's part of our DLine 2nd half surge we're becoming famous for.

Let him have time to get the mental part of the game down and he will be good, it will take him till next year to be the player we thought he would be, when the game slow's down in his head he will be a force, just been on campus what 3 months, you got to think he just started playing football 3 year;s ago his talent may not come out till he gets to the NFL.

How bout Kmac? I haven't noticed him all year. I thought we'd see some beast from him this year. Nuttin'!
