Steele is gone. Not even talking to Heupel at all now according to some sources.

He supposedly left on his own accord, interesting. So the way I interpret it is based on how his contract reads if we offered him another defensive position say LB coach, and he doesn't accept and opts to leave, we won't owe him anything.

He is not leaving on his own , that would be stupid. We are likely not going to have a position for him and will pay the buyout.

By “Gone” meaning he has not been on campus for a few days and his not actively involved with job duties.
