Ok, so my sales territory has changed a bit. I have lost Little Rock and all of east AR but have picked up east TN. So now my sales territory is the whole state of TN. Its been awhile since I spent time in Knoxville (other than game days). Where are the good places to hang out, eat, have a drink, look at some pretty girls, etc.

Again, I am 30. Im not looking for places where 18-23 year olds hang out (no offense to the young ones here).

On another note. I can attend a few more basketball games this year so if anyone wants to watch a game with a fellow volnationer, let me know.

Barley's in the Old City has a great beer selection. Blue Cats across the street usually has both local and national touring acts. Patrick Sullivans is on the corner and has been around since the late 80's when I attended school there, and it still seems fun. Buffalo Wild Wings on the strip is a great place to watch sports. OCI looked to be expanding into the old Tap Room space the last time I was up there, and it has always been a great place to hang out. Further down Kingston, you have Toddy's Backdoor Tavern which is a Knoxville institution, and has a somewhat older crowd. Hope this helps.

Also, Downtown Grill and Brewery draws a little older crowd, too. Great microbrew and really good food. Also good happy hour specials.

Market Square venues are all starting to pull in slightly older than college age patrons due to the gentrification of the area, and the popularity of the new Lofts. So you have places like Preservation Pub, and the outdoor concert series they hold during the warmer months.

Check out club 106 in the old city.

Thats an understatement, the entire state of Ohio ugly. I always thought Indiana was bad until going to Ohio. The cities are typically dirty and outside of Kings Island and Cedar Point, there is NOTHING there.

We went on a trip to Ohio a few years ago. Cedar Point and King's Island are great. There's also the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton - both worth a visit. My wife and I really enjoyed Amish country in Berlin. There were some good restaurants and a cheese factory. I really liked Cincinnati as well - there's the Bengals, and some interesting history there related to the underground railroad in the days of slavery.

I almost forgot; also in Canton, there is the President McKinley Museum and Memorial. I really enjoyed that: William McKinley Presidential Library & Museum :: Index
