Knoxville

The board seems to want a new staff, but what is the attitude around Knoxville, and Tennessee in general. I heard a few weeks ago the fans in general was much more pro Fulmer. Is that true, are or they leaning for going in a new direction. Sorry, I know only one UT fan, so I'm not getting a whole lot of a good idea right here.

I've lived in Knoxville for the past 3 years and I have been very surprised at the amount of support he has around here. But right now, anything could happen. Just judging from the talk shows I've listened to over the last 18 hours or so, I think Fulmer even lost the Koolade drinkers...

the cal game and the florida game turned a whole lot of people - like myself - who were in his corner.
Its not so much that we lost as much as the way we lost - sloppy undisciplined play.

Ditto. I'm an alum who moved off to Houston & Miami, but have been back here almost 20 years. This is by far the hottest seat CPF has sat on. Like the Reverend, I've been saying CPF deserved a chance to rebound (after the 5-6) last year I think the mood was 50-50 (because of our showing on national stage in bowl game and vs. FL, LSU & Ark.). So for me (& many others I talk to) the jury was still out. I'll know more after Monday's watercooler talk, but I think CPF lost a lot of support yesterday. Course, I'm not hooked in with the big $ supporters, when those guys start feeling like they're sucking lemons instead of oranges....

I live in SC but listen online to the Knox stations when I can, and I've always thought the Knox. fans were about 50/50 pro and anti Fulmer. That will certainly change tomorrow.
