Harold's deli (Gay street) Try some of the horseradish or hot mustard in one of their samages. GREAT!:)

I believe that Nama is renovating. They are currently open in the old Cha Cha's building in Bearden.

We had a good pre-concert meal at Crown and Goose in the Old City a couple of weeks ago. Great appetizers, quality English grub, and an outdoor beer garden.

You could also check out La Costa in Market Square. Reasonable tapas place with some interesting dishes.

I had Sunday brunch at Crown & Goose and enjoyed it. There was a string quartet playing.

The best place I have ever ate in Knoxville is Club LeConte. If you know someone that is a member or knows a member try to get up in there.

Harold's closed long ago.
Hat that is as bad as news as I've heard sense this years performance on the field. Thanks for the info. II'm glad I didn't drive all the way to k-town wanting one of those great sandwiches or breakfasts they had. As you can see it's been a while sense I went east. TX.:)

Or, kick it like high rollers and hit up Ruth's Chris for a nice steak. Or Ye Old Steakhouse on Chapman for a better steak.

I ate there last weekend, and it was a really good experience. The food and service is all Ruth's Chris, and the atmosphere in the old Riverside Grill is just cool. The only downside was the drunken fan puking on the patio, but hey, it was a football weekend.

The bologna and eggs at Harold's were a slice of heaven.

The best food in the Old City is at Pasta Trio and The Crown and Goose is a close second. Pat Sullivan’s is the best value and you can usually walk right in and get a table without a wait. My wife and I go there on Valentine’s Day b/c there is no wait. Barley’s has the best atmosphere and beer selection, and pretty decent food.

BTW I agree that Harby’s has the best pizza in K-town. However a few years ago Briano’s on Broadway was head and shoulders above any pizza in Knoxville but it has unfortunately closed.

A lot of people really dig Savelli's and Pasta Trio, but I'm not sure what the deal is with "cramped in Italian." The food may be good (and you can brown bag at both, I believe), but I almost feel like I'm at the homeless shelter.

Alex's Havana Cafe in the Homberg Place area has some excellent Cuban cuisine.

New China on Clinton Highway is the best Mom and Pop Chinese in Knoxville
