On the day of the opening game, the Knoxville paper runs a story about how the Cincinnati fans felt about Butch leaving them 4 years ago? Between stories like this, regular articles about Vanderbilt football and John Adams, what makes the KNS think people in Knoxville always want to hear negative articles?.....well, other than BoroVol.

Plus, they have pretty much quit covering local sports with the exception of a couple of articles on Fridays. No wonder they are going broke.

The rise of our current fake news epidemic started with local papers and sports media- they were the testing ground. Are you surprised?

The News Sentinel is now part of the USA Today newspaper network so I always enjoy a little bit of everything in the paper.

'Boro-Vol wouldn't use the News Sentinel to line a birdcage. But thanks for thinking of me.

Oh my God! Movable printed type. We must keep this from the serfs, lest they gain literacy and threaten the landed gentry.

:)John Adams is a "dumb ass jerk" who thinks he is a sports writer. The Knoxville News Sentinel has had a tradition of having the best sports editors in the business with Tom Siler and Marvin West...no more after them with a succession of non-Tennessee supporters of jerks. The Chattanooga Times Free Press probably has the best in the whole state. The Nashville Tennessean finally "flushed" Climer down the commode, hope Adams joins him.

I still occasionally pick up a Sunday edition of the KNS. I did yesterday and read the article on Todd Kelly Jr. It not only included his leadership contributions to the team and his inspiration from the Fulton HS player who was murdered (Dobson) but also his ambitions for medical school. It was a nice read. Sure, John Adams is a sarcastic and obnoxious buffoon who should have retired 10 years ago but aside from him, the articles I have read in the KNS do accentuate the positives of Tennessee football. Just my opinion.

No offense, but why are you reading that, or any other rag newspaper? You know what you're gonna get from any of them. I understand your complaints about what they chose to write/cover, it's crap, but do yourself a great favor and don't ever read one again.

Got my bill today. They gave me a 25 cent credit for a paper they didn’t deliver. And charged me $2 premium for a Feb 1 paper
The hold time is 2:17 to 3:27 ..... hours!
Not only has the editorial content waned but now they have lost all business sense. I guess when the phone battery dies I go on line and cancel subscription

Are they? Good! Maybe then, they will send Adams sorry ass back to Louisiana or Texas or WTF he is from. Better yet, maybe he could cover sports in Syria. ISIS could start a soccer team!

Just be thankful if you don't live local to Knoxville to see that hack on TV or hear him on the radio. If KNS wants to make money, they can sell baseball with his face imprinted on it. Let the home run derby begin!
