Knoxville Life for an Outsider

Hey everybody, I'm a graduate from the University of Kansas and am looking at some places for Law school. I'm really interested in Tennessee and am just wondering what the atmosphere in Knoxville is like. I've always heard it's a really cool place as I'm sure it is. My questions is obviously very general and am wondering things such as how's life for grad students, is Knoxville really country or more "college-townesque", etc.

I'm also planning a visit in a couple months and was hoping you guys could fill me in on what I should see, what bars to check out, etc.

I have alot of friends that attended UT law. They all seemed to like, not only their education, but a social life as well.

my sister graduated from UT in 92 and went to law school at Duquesne here in pittsburgh, pa. I'm not sure why she didn't stay at TN.
