Knocked OUT in Knoxville- USA Today

Dead on. To me his best chance for him to survive is to clean house at seasons end. I would like to think that winning all out (including the bowl game) would be enough but, unfortunately I don't think it is nor is that is going to happen. No question that he's brought this program a "very, very" long way but, in the end, the one thing needed was a program that can go toe to toe with anyone. We just aren't there and I don't see us getting any closer unless changes are made.

I know everyone is mad but this team has improved. We are way more talented and in another year when Butch is fired the next coach will have a team with good talent to start. 9-4, 10-3 are good records for any team. There are only 4 teams that make the playoff and TN will never be one of them until Saban retires or gets hit by a pickle truck (as my old boss used to say).

Spot on Butch, read the headlines occasionally. Not everyone is wrong and you're right.

Debord = Clawson

Take a page from UT's past Butch and learn from it. You may very well go 9-3, but the "what could have been" will echo beyond your 2016 record.

Team is better than it was 5 years ago. Butch has recruited well. Problem is he has repeatedly shown he cannot handle game day coaching with the same type success against other SEC coaches.

He is not recruiting well anymore. 50 athletes 1 linebacker 1 OL

At least this last TE recruit was offered by Holy Cross and Gardener Webb. I support Butch but only if he makes major changes.

Writer is a Vandy puke. Don't care.

How are they wrong? Jones would make a great CEO type head coach, being a motivator, leader, and recruiter. He has yet to give me any hope that he can consistently coach, adapt, and scheme. If he wants to keep this job, he will need to fire Debord and turn the keys of the offense over to someone who can get it done. Otherwise, we will be looking for a new HC when the new AD comes in and has no allegiance to Jones, and wants to make their mark on the university.

Amen....they coming in droves,kicking us while we are down and we are falling for it,hook,line, and sinker. So Muschamp simply followed Pruett's scheme and contained Dobbs but the truth is simple... Dobb's can't connect on the intermediate pass plays on a consistent basis. He owned up to it even. When you consider the fumble caused by Fils-Aime, the injury to Berry, and UT was forced to use 3rd string Warrior all within 4 plays after Kelly just popped off a 50+ yd. run and they confused Warrior by crossing the recievers at LOS it was a combination of luck and good play calling by SC. A very bad momentum changer. This is the very reason that UT has got to come out of the gate strong against these weak teams. You make mistakes, you give them chances. Every player on the team knows this and they repeatedly keep beating themselves. This loss is going to sting for a long time and just look at the fallout already...just 2 days later. Some of the more attentive have seen this coming and know we have all this talent that simply isn't being developed to it's full potential. The game is evolving fast and all things are and we need leadership and foresight. We need to use the tech game to introduce some new wrinkles and possibly start Dormandy and Kelly just to see. We have nothing to lose conference wise.

I feel bad for you. You can't see what is right in front of you that Coach Botch is a bad coach. We've been behind in every game this season.

If I head the drivel that's filling pages and pages of threads in the Vols Football Forum, then, the only path to peaceful harmony is for Tennessee to dedicate it's entire future to academics and research, go Div III. Sell Neyland and Thompson Bowling to the city, negotiating multi-decade favorable lease/rent terms for future campus events.

There is no way to spin this. This is an extremely disappointing and alarming loss.

There is no reason you cannot both support the players and the team and simultaneously want change in the staff.

Its called fear

People hate change. They would rather have their balls smashed with a hammer. At least they know its safer than being ran over by a truck
