No. Your DLine has to control thr point of attack, first off.

2nd, were not good enough to play man all game.

We blitz and mix up coverages and let our Dline do what they do.

We dictate the offense by controlling the line. Make him beat us with his arm, we want to dictate more than react this game

I'm sure we'll spy him but honestly we just need to worry about stopping their running backs.

I think Barnett and Vereen/other DE's have been pretty good about reading zone-read plays. We just haven't had a ton of those plays against QBs as quick as Knight.

Jared Evans disagrees. That kid from VT is better than Knight with his arm and also legs. A&M has better weapons around Trevor to make him more dangerous but this is the game where I think offense has to win it for us. I think TAMU will score 30-35 in this game. Trevor will get some of his throws and get some of his good runs. Our offense has to start fast and outscore them. Dobbs and Co. will have to carry us again but carry from early game. If we can score 38 on FL in less than two quarters, we can outscore TAMU. Just have to play the full game.

Shirley you can't be serious. Knight will outrun Jumper in a heartbeat. We need the front four to seal the gaps and make QB draws difficult to execute. Especially when they go five wide.

Do you go to parties and stand in a circle of laughing people and wonder what's going on?

I suspect they will spy him some and maybe call more zone defenses. When teams are in man the DB's have their backs to the LOS and it makes it easier for the opposing QB to run. Zone them up and see if Knight can find the open guy. One of the knocks on him has been he can't read defenses so why help him out going man?

Josh Dobbs has 267 yards rushing out of 5 games....with this staff really holding his attempts back.....I believe Dobbs runs the hell out of it the next 2 games....15+ attempts this Saturday and next....this will get the offense clicking on all cylinders...especially with the passing game and O-line playing really starting to click. Dobbs ran it 14 against VaTech/Ohio and 17 times against Florida.....yet only 9 times against Appy St. and 11 times against UGA...I really think the staff was trying to keep him healthy for the next 2...watch and see if he don't run it 15+the next 2.

Most of his run yardage came from delayed runs up the middle, when there was literally nobody there. Presumably the routes pulled everybody out of the middle of the field. And I mean literally everybody. If that happens, it's on the defensive planning.

Knight is definitely a dangerous running threat and he's probably more reliable with his feet than his arm. Has averaged 6.2 ypc during his career and is averaging 7.8 ypc this season, 8.3 against 3 SEC opponents.
