From today's Knox QB Club

Kippy Brown: Every time I’ve had a chance to come back here, I have. I love this place. It’s such a special place.

Kippy Brown on signing Carl Pickens to #Vols: That was hard. South Carolina was in there, and they had Tank Black. They were pretty shady.

Kippy Brown on Joshua Dobbs’ NFL Draft stock: I think he’ll go around where Dak Prescott (4th round) or Russell Wilson (3rd round) went.

Kippy Brown: Everybody runs these spreads, but if you’re good on defense, good on special teams and don’t turn it over, it’s hard to lose.

Kippy Brown on his Seahawks team losing Super Bowl at the goal-line: It’s alright. I only had one free ring finger anyway.

on whether Josh Dobbs can play QB in the NFL: “Without a doubt.” (Note: Brown is a former NFL OC.)

on Lane Kiffin: I might get booed off this stage, but right now he would probably be a good fit here (at Tennessee).

on difference in NFL and college football: In college football these days people run two-minute offense the whole time.

Kippy Brown: My wife bought us a house in Green Bay. It had a pool. Who in the hell needs a pool in Green Bay, Wisconsin?

Kippy Brown: The first thing I learned when I coached the Packers was that Brett Favre never worries about anything. Ever.

Kippy Brown: My mom told me to find a woman I was compatible with, so I went out looking for a woman who liked to drink, smoke, chase women.

Those are some good "paraphrases" His delivery on the "Pool story" and the "Told Mamma I wanted to get married" stories was epic!!!

Was way too good of a fit, no way Hamilton hires him. Nah, instead he hires a less experienced, losing record of a coach from LA tech.

Us not hiring Kippy Brown when we had the chance is 100% of the reason our Football team is in the shambles it is in right now.

He would have provided some level of continuity and would have been a hell of a lot better than Dooley. The man has a Super Bowl ring. He coached with and around some of the best coaches to ever coach the game.

Even if he didn't ultimately work out....he wouldn't have let the program slide as far as Dooley did.

Hammy might have been a great guy....but he was a horrible administrator.
