Are some of you guys Vol fans? Do you realize what Dooley, the worst coach we have ever had, left us? Vandy was beating us with regularity! When you're bottom of the barrel, you gotta climb up. But, I didn't think it would take this long. This is my point- BAMA gets any 5 star recruit it wants. When any of their players get hurt, they run in a SO, or JR to replace him. We get a 3 or 4 star FR, far down on the depth chart, with no experience, to replace our starters. Some of our starters may be a SO or JR 3 or 4 star. We were boys against men against BAMA. As has been said here, with Saban, they are a dominator. Now we have to put up with the rednecks. I hate that a lot more than you guys do. The trailer trash seems to grow like dandelions even here in ETN. We have to recruit better to put a high quality team on the field. These future VFL's are playing their hearts out, and I love them for it. Don't bash them, pull for better recruiting. Butch will get us there. I'm worried about the OC's scheme. Looks boring and bland. Never turns to page 2 till the 2nd half. Open it up!

I didn't see anyone else point this out, so I will.

If you're going to claim that Tennessee won against Virginia Tech because of the 6 fumbles, then you've got to use the same logic for the A&M game. Without the 5 fumbles Tennessee wins easily.

That's just football. When teams are fairly equal talent-wise, turnovers often determine who wins the game.

That's not true. Fulmers last year they not only rolled us, they took over the stadium. It was the last straw for his tenure. Who do you want UT to go hire? Like I said earlier, Meyer and Saban are anomalies. Anything else is a crap shoot and if we do go 10-2 with a loss at home to Bama and on the road to A&M are you really suggesting we make a change?

The answer to your question is no one. Why would I want the administration and the boosters of the program to go out and screw it up again. They are totally incompetent in guiding a major program. And they would never invest in making the program a top 5 program. Too cheap!!!!

Our problem is this program went for 45 years without having to make a critical hiring decision and then had a bad AD when that occurred. Thus, Kiffin and Dooley. Based on what we would invest in a coaching staff, Butch is about the best we could hope for.

Meanwhile, programs like Alabama, Ohio State, and Michigan are printing their own money.

Bunch a "what have you done for me lately" on this board. He did beat Florida, first coach since Fulmer. He did win back to back bowl games for the first time in TWENTY YEARS. He has secured top 10 recruiting classes. Oh yeah, his first real recruiting class are only juniors and they are beat up because they have been playing for 3 years all game long because Kiffin screwed us and Dooley was incompetent. Butch has been steadily building since he got here. I hate y'all sometimes. We lose to the best team in the nation and we want to fire our coach.
