Good interview of Kiffin today, gotta love the focus, its a breath of fresh air around here.

Did anyone here him mention Bryce Brown and the fact that he didn't sign on NSD when he was asked by Hooker about where recruiting was going? Is he allowed to talk about Brown? I just don't want to see any more stupid self-reported violations this week over stupid stuff like this. I have no idea about recruiting rules like this, just thought someone might have heard him say the same thing.

is it true that he cant recruit the kid anymore if he mentions his name to the media? or am i talkin out of my arse?

Man, I love Kiffin's work ethic and intensity, he just needs to watch what comes out of his mouth!

Chalk up another secondary violation for the new staff.

The thing is he wasn't even talking about us offering him or his visit or anything, he was just making a comment about recruiting in general and the negative direction it is headed and happened to mention his name. I was hoping I heard him wrong and he was talking about Marlon Brown. . .

I heard it this morning. He was talking about recruiting in general and how some kids now wait until after signing day, and used him as an example but said nothing about us recruiting him or give him praise or anything connected with UT. Just in general about kids signing after signing day. I know it is a fine line but I do not think he crossed it.

The previous staff was notorious for secondary violations as well....

It's okay as long as he doesn't mention a kids name, directly, that has yet to sign anywhere.

he did mention BB...ah well, I think now he may just be throwing BS out there for them to report.. considering they are going to dig up some garbage on him anyways!! might as well!

This one bothers me a little more than the others. Hooker even mentioned before Kiffin started talking, "I know you can't talk about em.." The others I could see that he was just ruffling some feathers or walking the line. This one just seems like a slip up in that it was completely pointless to mention a name.

What is up with this crap! Everytime he says something it ends up being another story. And don't say that is why he done it. He needs to chill out a little.

As soon as he said that I thought isn't that agaist the rules? Also he mentioned during the workouts players where helping each other out where as last year they would probably be pointing fingers and and laughing at each other for not getting through a workout. He really is making alot of off the wall remarks. And it should be making Hamilton very nervous.

you find that hard to believe? May be hard to listen to but it's certainly possible

I didn't get to hear, but I think it was near the end of the show.

Anyone see Hamilton's face on the video from the tip-off club when Bruce was joking about Kiffin. . .I was a cross between excitement, panic, fear and anger. . .he looked like one stressed dude. . .

I am still in the Kiffin camp, but I'm glad I'm just a fan and not his boss. . .

I find it very hard to believe. But even if it did happen. Why would you ever make a remark like that on the radio. It is pointless. Which is my point. You need to think a little more before you just start running off at the mouth.

I have looked for every reason in the world why he has made some of the statments he has made. It makes no sense. To me it is starting to look like he isn't ready to be a Head Coach at a school like UT.

It did bother me a little that he bragged in SI about firing a guy and told a specific story. . .why not just say we had to change the environment around here and leave it at that? But I do find it comforting that some good coaches who knew this guy before hand were willing to come work for him. Orgeron passed up a chance to recruit as LSU to work with Lane and Monte, that makes me feel much better about who we've hired.

He really needs a muffler on his mouth or at least learn not what to say...Someone please get him someone to write his speeches for him so we do not have 500 minor violations before spring practice!:no:

I hope Kiffin goes into graphic detail about the languid, self satisfied environment Fulmer and the Skoal Patrol created at UT the last five or six years. If it embarrasses those clowns, all the better.
