since the announcement that rb bryce brown was leaving the tennessee program, the focus has been on his transferring to kansas state, near his wichita hometown and to be reunited with his brother, lb arthur. But could brown end up being the sole player/recruit to follow former coach lane kiffin to usc? Kiffin all but bent over backward for brown last season, and it makes sense that brown would want that kind of a comfort level with his next coach. (kansas state's bill snyder is many things, but warm and fuzzy is not one of them.)
scott wolf of the los angeles daily news weighs in on the possibility of brown becoming a trojan: "i think the odds are 50-50 right now and i'm sure contact has been made about it. Brown looked at usc when he was a senior in high school but never actually visited despite overtures toward usc. Pete carroll finally got fed up and told him usc was no longer interested. Lane kiffin was not in position to ever get fed up at tennessee."
