What 'baggage' does Butch have? He's just not a very good coach, but I don't think he had any skeletons that would amount to anything

If I'm the AD, I just inform LK the games are over. Provide an answer by COB or clear desk out and vacate by Friday.

I don’t see how anyone who caps an 11-1 season by winning their biggest rivalry game and says they haven’t made up their mind, is staying put. I firmly believe the LSU thing was done at least a week ago and the dilly-dallying this week was just for show so he can pander to the Ole Miss fan base as if he were torn and not have them vilify him leading up to the Egg Bowl.

Once he makes the announcement tomorrow that he’s going to Baton Rouge, he won’t be able to get out of Oxford fast enough.

Zero shot he heads back leaving Starkville. My guess he travels private to Baton Rouge to visit “recruits.”

Botch comes from the Brian Kelly tree.
The entire thing is rotten man.

I would call his time at Ark St basically a failure. Historically they have kinda been like Boise St-one of the big dogs in G5. They struggle to get bowl eligibility under Botch

You only get two program failures in CFB. He bombed here and he has basically failed at Ark St. That's it man. Game over.

Botch has nowhere to go now to try to rehab is image. The Saban rehab is closed. Brian Kelly is kind of a pariah. I don't think that Botch is that well liked or respected in the coaching community.

Honestly, I can't come up with a college coach who has gotten canned 3 times. Can you?

Botchs best hope going forward might be as a one year "interim" when a program has a major problem like John L Smith at Arky a few years ago. Believe Michigan State had that situation recently also didn't they?

This has to be pretty far in the playoffs there doesn't it? Is it state championship time? Take care of that tonight and bolt tomorrow lol

Edit-I looked it up. The semifinals for Miss high school football are this weekend.

I don’t know how far along they are in the playoffs. Kiffin just mentioned to the sideline babe before the game that he’s be headed back to Oxford to watch his son tonight. Definitely could be a reason not to announce till tomorrow. Can you imagine him showing up at Oxford High School tonight AFTER announcing he was leaving for LSU? There would have been a riot.

I just looked. It’s a semi-final game in Region 7A.
