He was asked about his recruiting strategy in South Florida. He said something like, wait until you see the billboard we are putting up. That's all he would say.

What is everybody so confused about?? He wants to keep the UT logo in front of the kids that live in one of the biggest recruiting hot beds in the country... I sell insurance. I wanted to get my name out in the next town over so guess what? I put a billboard with my ugly mug on it! Business has def picked up too!

I would laugh. This is something a fan would do, but I would never expect a coach to.

when Schiano (sp?) went to Rutgers, he had a billboard put up in South Florida. Just to refresh your memory, his last recruiting class was in the top 25 and would have been in the top 15, maybe 10 had 3 of his best commits hadnt decommitted on NSD...

ITS FREAKIN' RUTGERS MAN!

so, if our coach wants to put up a billboard in Southbeach or Pahokee, well, make sure that its double-sided so they can see it both ways :)

ESPNEWS just said that it could be a violation to put up a billboard. They also said that sending video to the Tampa Bay Bucs facility that Monte has been working at could also be a violation... Don't know all the details about these two things, but it would suck to have more violations after Slive made such a big deal about them earlier this week.

Just reporting what they said on espnews... It also seems like BS that a smoke machine is against the rules, but somehow it is.
