Posted via VolNation Mobileif we hadn't gotten the safety, we would have gotten better field position for a TD. The safety didn't help us, we still needed a TD to win.

Well first, they need to throw it deep. I don't care if it's incomplete as long as it isn't intercepted. Helps keep the defense from selling out to stop the run. Also, during the goal line stand UCLA had, they should've thrown 1 out in the flat to a tight end to spread the field wide if they were dead set on running it up the middle. Get the defensive bodies spreading wide to open it up a bit more in the middle. 3rd down would've been the perfect opportunity. If it's a touchdown, great. As long as it isn't intercepted. One thing's for sure. I'm glad to see that Kiffin has some cajones in going for it on 4th down several times. We haven't seen that much in a while--unless we're already in "let's not lose too bad" mode.

Anybody remember a similar situation down in Miami a few years ago? Even if it hadn't worked yesterday I think I'd have liked the call. (and personally I think it would have worked here too. JMHO)

You actually trust Crompton with a trick play or even a screen for that matter. Plain and simple...Crompton doesn't have it between the ears. I do not blame the coaching staff. Till we get a quarterback here that has somewhat of a clue we will not win the close ones.

Does anyone think that Kiffin may have been thinking about what other smart a.. remarks he could make after the game to get himself a little attention. No smart a.. comments needed ......just a few bad play calls. Up next FLORIDA. Any bold predictions now KIFF<SOS.

I agree. How about some screen plays to offset the pass rush of UCLA? How about a few quick outs in the flat? It seems that everything that we accomplished last week on offense was forgotten about this week.

I agree we should have been throwing in that situation..... But with Cromptons game i wouldnt have either....

BUT!!!!!!

If you cant trust your QB to convert on a 4th and 3 on the goal line and you have to run the ball up the middle which they stopped almost everytime

THAT QB SHOULDNT BE IN THE GAME IN THE FIRST PLACE

I believe SOS is an offensive play caller. He scored 38. Had 400 yds offense and lost to #21 UGA of the SEC at UGA. Not some unranked team from weak axx conf. playing on your home field. Good Grief. Hey KIFF, you got our attention.

We lost to UGA not unranked UCLA at home. And our coach didnt predict us beating Florida. Yours did.

First and goal. Chance to win the game. Hardesty, a veteran who had run well all day, getting yards after contact. Brown a true freshman had looked tentative at times. Kiffen put the ball and game in Brown's hands twice out of those four downs rather than in Hardesty's hands. Why????

As long as Crompton continues to start this year, UT needs to only line up one WR and let everyone else block since Crompton is incapable of looking past his primary target.

UGA will not be ranked at the end of the season. In fact, no team in the SEC East other than Florida will end the season ranked.
