I mean you want to be really embarrassed? Have Kiffin screw it up, again. I am proud of fans right now, but Kiffin is not happening. Brass won't allow it and I'm thankful for that.
He is not a good fit, he is smart and can run offense but still has maturity of a kid. He has baggage, can't keep his D in his pants. ALSO NCAA violations.
Petrino before Kiffen.
I can maybe forgive, maybe, but I'll never forget, He is the cause of Dooley then Butch ok.

neither one of those guys are coming here.

Patterson literally just signed an extension at TCU last week, and if you couldn't get Gundy with $7m, you got no shot at Petersen leaving Seattle....even if you up the ante this time.

people's expectations on the coach now, really need to be adjusted.

OK... So we hire a bad coach, wait for him to get an 8 win season, then have two 5 win seasons, then he gets fired and we are right back here.

The "bar" does not want change with the current state of things. Either you want to be good or you don't.

The idea of using coaches as building blocks is retarded.

We will be back here every damn time we fire a bad coach. It sucked in 2012, it sucks in 2017, and it will suck in 4 more years if we **** it up again.

Plenty of blame, but Lane started this whole ordeal. Leaving before signing day.

No NCAA violations man. And I think Saban would destroy Kiffin.

most coaches do leave before signing day. Here's the hypocrisy of the whole thing. UT fans mad that Kiffin left for his dream job. However, if presented with the same situation they would leave for their dream job.

You have to be out of your mind if you think that Patterson or Peterson would even take a damned phone call from UT right now. Fans need to get over this delusion that UT will or is even considering a "name" hire anymore. This program is damaged and dying. The AD is unlikely to last until spring ball. It's going to be a no name or coordinator. Folks just need to accept what and where we are and move on. Gruden, Gundy, Patterson, Peterson....those names sound so ridiculous as serious candidates for our coaching position. Just pathetically unrealistic.

The "almost won" crowd is using a pathetic reason to hire a guy who's been fired three times for failing to win.

Moral victories aren't predictors of actual victories. I heard stories about the low football acumen of this football forum, I never imagined it would be this bad.
