In terms of assistant coach turn over, will CLK retain the majority of his coaching staff like Fulmer or will the staff consistently turn over like Majors staffs seemed to always do?

Depends on what kind of success we have as a program in the next four years. If we can manage to win a NC, I think some of our assistants will be offered higher positions.

I think much like Sabans staff as much from burn out and pressure as anything.

Let's wait until he coaches the first game, first season, frist bowl game.

Retention will occur if the boys get a long and the money is right

You have to expect there will be some turn over with the caliber of staff he has put together. It comes with the territory.

Majors.

Good assistants work their way up the career ladder. Attrition is normal and natural on a high caliber staff. The secret is replacing good assistants with good assistants.

Let's face it. If these guys win just 3 games next year there will be people on this board that will want ALL of them to leave. College fans, especially Vols fans, want results quickly.

So let's wait before we cross our fingers to keep them around.

Does anyone think that Coach O will get another shot as a head coach? He has always been known as a great recruiter, but with the way the Vols finished the recruiting season by landing Brown, coach O's name is out there even more.

Must be a management challenge not only having your dad as an assistant but having a recent head coach as an assistant. I'm sure that situation cuts both ways.

I just hope we have coach O as def cord in waiting and offer him monte's slary as a retainer....

That might be exactly what happens. Coach O cited the opportunity to learn from Monte as one of his primary reasons for coming to UT.
