He did that at the worst place to coach in the NFL. That being beacause of Al Davis. Plus he had a sorry qb in Russel that he did not want to draft and had no control of decisions like that. So 5-15 at a place like that and a first time coach in the NFL is not bad in my book.

My thinking is that they have new QBs so it will level the playing field. We were handicapped last year on the Offensive side but that was with Clawson. I have a feeling that we can't get any worse on O so the only way we can go is up.

GA lost QB and RB. AJ is the olnly one left.

Bama lost QB, their backbone IMO. They don't win without JP because he had experience could guide the frosh.

The main thing that Kiffin did was bring to light some of the underhanded tactics of other SEC coaches. He's already stated that other coaches are making untrue statements about Kiffin to recruits and that kind of thing is only happening in the SEC. Saban is so scared of Kiffin that he won't let recruits take a visit to Tennessee.

Alabama wasn't good in their first year and they got a top class. We will have a top ten class next year, new coaches get a free pass their first year at a program as far as record goes. That really doesn't hurt you on the recruiting trail. Your friend is wrong, plain and simple.
