He attended services at Eddie Long's church today. If one is going to recruit the ATL, it's a stroke of brilliance to get the Bishop on your side. Pure PR genius.

Not to mention, if you do not get "Pumped UP" at one of Long's services......you are dead.

I agree. My position on religion is well known, but I enjoy Long's TV show.

It is 10 times more exciting in person. You do not even have to believe in God to leave the building better than when you came in.

I was actually planning on attending one of his services last time I was in Atlanta on a weekend. Alas, Saturday night ran a little too long.

His trip to Israel is dependent on the Pope's schedule. He wants to talk to Pope Benedict about Mike Slive's future employment as a secluded monk!

Wouldn't/Shouldn't the point be, for attending the Bishop's service, to come away believing in God ?

Fair to say he is the first SEC coach to try that path when it comes to getting the favor of Atlanta recruits??

I didn't check with the Vatican on this, but I don't think the Pope has any trips to Israel on the schedule.

I'm sorry, I should have said "shouldn't the Bishop's point be for one to leave believing in God ?" Sorry didn't meen to antagonize anyone.

It's cool. This is the football forum not the politics forum.
