The Vols only recruited one kicker and did not land him. Soooooo who will be doing the kicking next year?

...and supposedly Colquitt is a serviceable PK if we have to go that route.

This got me curious and I looked at who we had and saw this kid Daniel Lincoln from Florida who apparently started at LB and Safety as well as lettered in weightlifting, sounds like an interesting kicker

Fulmer said Colquitt is going into spring practice as the teams top option for place kicker

I believe the jury is still out on whether he is a kicker or not. He has yet to perform consistently. I certainly do wish he would step up and take the ??? out of this position come spring...

You have to give the new kickers time. I remember Mike Nugent was awful freshman year, and he turned out great for the next 3 years after.

Lincoln is certainly a hoss....I think I read that he kicked a 70 yard FG in front of Meyer and still didn't get a serious look. Also, he has the size and experience to be a GREAT safety valve in case an ellusive return man gets by our always air tight coverage.
