Pruitt is the HC and acts like he's the HC. If he wants Helton to throw more then he will. If he wants him to run more... he will. Unlike Dooley in particular, there are no questions about who the Alpha Dog is in the football program right now. The thing I like best is that Pruitt points to himself and says "that's my fault".
What I'm saying is that particular play calls may be on Helton. Strategic decisions like how much they will throw and when... are Pruitt.
I would bet the farm that Helton didn't choose to run 50 times and throw only 19 this past Saturday.I agree with you. Helton is probably calling specific plays but CJP is at least in someway, dictating how much we run/pass.
BUT... its not out of the question to think that CJP is letting Helton run the offense himself and manage all aspects.
This is one of the most oft repeated yet meaningless stats out there. When UT rushed for more, it was usually because their gameplan worked and they were able to control the game running the ball. When UF rushed for more and particularly under Spurrier, they used the run game to control the clock after running up a big lead.I believe that whoever rush for the most yards usually wins.
Sorry, trolls, but we will not lose to Florida. We just look too simplified to have to fool our way to a touchdown. I know it’s not what anyone wants to hear, but they are just not a good team. I hope we find a way and our defense can get some turnovers, but it could be a long night for John Adams' favorite team.
