A lot of positives to take from today. Outside of a long 3rd quarter TD drive, our defense was once again stellar. I thought Hardesty and the O line played outstanding and Crompton played decent considering how limited he was.

It is time to carry this momentum to a 4-2 record halfway through the season. We should take care of business against Ohio with relative ease and Crompton should play well because he does when UT plays cupcakes.

Now Auburn has looked very impressive so far this year but they have been up against a lot of weak defenses. I don't know why but I feel UT should be able to win this game if we put up 21 points.

Georgia is playing much better after losing to Oklahoma State but their defense seems to be an issue. Gotta consider this one a toss up.

UT at worst should be 3-3 which should give us a chance to win 7 games and make a bowl. Crompton is going to have to play like he did against WKU if we have any chance of going 4-2.

IF we can play like we did yesterday & just get a little more out of Crompton i can see us going 8-4 with loses to Alabama & Ole Miss the rest of the way.

You can't state something like it's a fact and then right after say "just my opinion".

Nick will not be starting dude. get over it.

Crompton played "decent" as you put it because he wasn't really put in many positions to hurt us. When we were ready to open it up at the start of the 2nd half, he threw into double coverage a couple times and then threw the pick. That was the end of any waning confidence the coaches might have had in him.

But, back to the subject of the thread. Ohio should be a win. Auburn and Georgia are both toss ups imo simply because of our QB situation (I'd give the nod to UGA if it was in their house). Our defense is strong enough to keep us in any game, but the x-factor of Crompton's lack of ball security is a troubling thought. Our running game should be an edge for us as well and as long as Crompton doesn't kill us, both games could fall our way. But if Crompton has a couple of his meltdowns I could see these games easily going the other way.

This season is going to be a constant battle for the coaches in managing the mistakes on offense.

I've seen enough of Auburn to be a little worried about them. They have a better offense at this point than we do. We have a better defense. Its a wash and that game is a tossup. Its also a pivotal game we just about have to get. That Ucla loss might loom large at the end of the year. Then again it may not matter, this is a 6-8 win ball team depending on how the ball bounces in several of those contests. We are woeful at the QB position right now.
