If you could sign #76-100 of Florida's top 100 prospects you would have a better class than signing the top 25 out of Tennessee.
If you watched Miami's passing game last year it was good. He is also an up and coming recruiter in florida as well. He knows the next batch of young players coming up right now. This might be a good thing.
richt didn't hire him at receiver coach that wasn't him. He coached there when al golden was there. Canes could not get a receiver over 800 yards.. when he was there...im a cane fan. Its tough though he was with al golden so its hard to judge him. He may pan out here though him a Scott has ties together at the U, but keep this in mind don't sleep on SCOTT for the head coaching job if jones slip
Am I the only one who wonders why all the position coaches we are getting tend to be "mid-majors" instead of stealing someone with SEC or at least power 5 experience? granted everyone starts somewhere but I would think UT would be less of a "a rung on the ladder" and more of a destination for a position coach. Am I reading too much into this?![]()

CBJ, Scott & Canales provide plenty of offensive acumen. All that's needed for this hire is a guy who'll coach WRs well, recruit well and is a good fit in terms of staff chemistry. It seems like Beard probably checks all those boxes. Plus, he's available.Scott, Warren, Shoop, Hoke, and now maybe Beard all had power 5 experience before being hired by Butch to replace members of his original staff. Debord also.
