Bob was just interviewed on the radio here, and most of the interview was pretty much the same things that CBJ says in his interviews. Stay focused, learn to win in 4th qtr, etc. When asked about Dobbs passing, he said Dobbs will never be able to throw a true spiral, he throws late often, and the recievers must help. Interesting comments from Bob considering the practice reports of the improvements in his passing.

Can't throw a true spiral? What? Could've sworn I've seen a ton of em the last 3 years from Josh. He doesn't necessarily always throw it exactly where he wants it, but I don't think he throws a wobbly ball at all. Bob channeling his inner Caleb Calhoun here?

Sure do miss John Ward. Seems like everybody else's great school announcers all but died in the booth.....for some reason ours retired 20 years early so he could go work in his flower garden. Ugh.

Sure do miss John Ward.

Blame it on what's his name that talked him into retirement together and then didn't retire.

I still enjoy the natural gas spots on game day.

I guess it takes a true doofus to recognize a true spiral. I don't care if it's end over end as long as our receivers catch what Mr. Dobbs heaves at them.

Dobbs' passing has some issues, but not throwing a spiral isn't one of them. It really isn't much of an issue for any QB--Peyton had a lot more trouble with that than Dobbs does, but as Peyton said, he's thrown about 500 wobbly touchdowns.

Interesting comments from someone who can't even pronounce checkerboards correctly.

The man sure could bring into detail a Tennessee football or basketball game for us "older" fans..

Of course I'm partial, but he is unparalleled in calling college sports, imo.

I'm 46 years old and still get goosebumps hearing his voice..

He and Lindsey Nelson were the best two to have broadcast a Tennessee football game since the 1940s.
