In my opinion Johnson already has the instincts to be a good offensive player, with a little work he could be an all star level talent. Pons is an elite defender, but his basketball iq and offensive game have a long way to go before he is an nba level player. Maybe he can go to the g league and develop in to a guy that gets on an nba roster. Springer should be a solid rotation player for whoever drafts him.

He definitely needs to work on his outside shot. His midrange game to the basket is above average to elite sometimes. Elite defender and athleticism, which translates well to the NBA. If he develops that shot then he will be the Rookie of The Year next year.

Unfortunately I don't get compensated for my hindsight. Butch Jones was paid 4.1 million per year to figure it out when he was here.

Hell it’s also funny to me that people act like Kamara wasn’t used by butch. In fact he ws used very similarly to how he is used in the Nfl

I was thinking of this play seeing Keon's version. For being a "limited" offensive player he has a lot of offensive skills, with the acrobatic finishes, jumpers in the lane, some good mechanics and high release on his threes. I don't think there's anything about his offensive game that is a concern, you just have to put him in a position to continue to develop it. He looks better on defense because defense depends a lot more on athletic ability, something he has a lot of.

I disagree. His offensive game needs a lot of work. I do think his jumper is smooth, but didn't shoot a high percentage and didn't show you any ability to catch and shoot coming off screens or any kind of nuanced offensive game. He didn't show any type of go to move. He has elite athleticism and a high ceiling, but he has a few years to go in terms of offensive growth.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. His sloppy ball-handling will likely be an issue for him because, right now, people don’t have to respect his jumper. So, they lay back and don’t allow him to use his athleticism to blow by them. Minus that advantage of his athletic first step, his current ball-handling isn’t good enough to cross up decent defenders. If he can improve his shot to make it a necessary defendable part of his game, and also improve his ball-handling (even just a little bit), it will grow his offensive game by leaps and bounds.

My basis of comparison is Pons, who honestly doesn't look like he'll have much offensive use other than maybe getting consistent on his outside shot. Keon looks like someone who has skills to develop, while Pons is going to always be a specialist.

I think Keon is a sure thing for an NBA contributor for a few seasons with a ceiling of being an All Star at some point.

I think a good comparison for him is Deandre Hunter. Probably a little bit more offensive upside but excellent defender that can score ya 15 per game

I think his ceiling is considerably higher than Hunters on both ends of the floor

My meaning was, like Kamara, will he have fans scratching their heads wondering how the brilliance he displays as a pro wasn't so obvious during his college career (due to being under-utilized on his college team).
