Compared to some on the board I am a novice, so I am not sure this is really accurate but here are my assumptions:

1. There are three times as many games to fill.
2. Games seem to be dropped and added more often.
3. College basketball coaches to have more control and leverage with scheduling, because of 1 and 2, and try to tailor their schedules from year to year based on their teams perceived ability.

Correct on all three points.

Basketball also has alot of tournaments that send invitations every year. These can definitely affect how you would finish up or start your schedule.

Seems like we end the SEC season at home against the Cats, that has the makings for a game with a ton of implications for both teams.

Probably should've looked at the link...nevermind there's still a week left after our matchup.

Yeah, it looks like they're ending the season a week later because of the leap year's effect on the calendar. I am hoping our last home game will be on the weekend so I can go. UT has ended the last two seasons on the road. I will also definitely be at that Sunday home game against UK.
