Kentucky or Louisville?

I can't even imagine how sweet it would be to reach our 1st Final Four by beating UK, so for that reason, plus the fact that they are probably a better match-up for us, I would definitely pick UK.

That's not a bad reason either I guess :)

I said it earlier, and Little Cat touched on it, I think we match up better with Louisville, save for our ability to break their press (which he have improved on lately).

I like Barton guarding Chris Jones rather than trying to guard a 6-5 A. Harrison.

I like Richardson guarding anyone; Russ Smith for UofL, and Young or the other Harrison for UK.

I'll take McRae guarding the other Harrison over Luke Hancock.

I like Maymon and Stokes' chances against Harrell and VanTreese over Randle and WCS.

So, from a pure matchup standpoint, I like how we match up against Louisville. From an intangible standpoint, I like our senior and junior leadership over the Cats. UofL is the defending champs, amd they have been there before, whereas UK hasn't.

Tough call for me to make personally.

I'll confess I haven't seen UL as much as UK this year, probably basing it more on previous UL teams under Pitino than this one. Their guard play/press is what makes me nervous.

UK is rolling. U f L will not handle UK's length and size well. If UK shoots half decently, UK wins. This is not U of L's championship team from a year ago.

The trouble is that the Vols do not match up well with UK. U of L does not match up well with the Vols, so I hope U of L wins.

Sorry, I want Kentucky.

Poetic justice and all that. Or something.

still imagining ammunition for UT fans for years with a win over UK to reach the final 4. It would basically equal a loss to UK if UT was slated for the NC game in football

Louisville has the experience and the better coach, but I think Ky has the better roster if they play like they did against Wichita St. Tough one to pick. Pitino has always given UT fits. UT played Ky pretty tough at Rupp and UT wasn't even playing near as good as they are now.

I get that, and if I knew we'd win the game ahead of time, I'd DEFINITELY want to do it against UK. I just think we might have a better shot from a matchup perspective vs UofL.

Gotta beat Meatchicken first tho!

U of L for the simple fact that I can't even imagine the trash talk I'd have to hear from all the Kitten fans up here if we lost. But on the flip side if we won I'd get to talk A LOT of smack :)

This. I want both for different reasons. UofL because they don't know our personnel as well, I'd feel like we truly lost to a better team and it would mean UK isn't going to another Final 4 (at our expense nonetheless) so I don't have to hear their crap when I go into work.

Then agin I want UK because I feel they're beatable (although they're playing great right now), we know them and Cal well enough, our experience/age could be of benefit and how sweet it would be to reach our first Final 4 while denying them their umpteenth. I'd love going into work on Monday! I have a lot of hell to repay from football 2011.
